The 2002-2006 Sprinter is famous for its 2.7L inline 5 cylinder diesel engine that is able to run reliably over 1 million miles. The OM612 outputs 154hp at 3800 RPM and 330 Nm of torque  at 2400 rpm and the OM647 outputs 177 hp at 4200rpm and 400Nm of torque at 1800 rpm, resulting in a cargo/passenger van that is capable of carrying heavy loads.
